TARNISHED ANGEL Last night I had a dream it left a tale to tell I dreamed I saw an angel ,poor thing it was not well .His body bruised and battered ,his wings were ripped and torn ,the angel could hardly walk, it looked so tired and worn.Iwalked right up to ask him,angel how could this be? He turned and paused a bit , and then he spoke these words to me .... I am your guardian angel ,a great task as you can see ,you have run amuck all your life ,look what it has done to me. These bruises are from sheilding you ,in in times both tired and ill, these dangerrous drugs you have used I have often paid the bill. You say my wings are ripped and torn ,It is a noble badge to wear. How often they have flown you from evils unaware, each mark a story all its own of deadly wounds destoyed you have made me wish more than once i was unemployed. If only you could make it standing on your own, but you fret or! worry you will not be left alone ...I could not believe all that i heard, let alone how much he truly cared ,I wept unpon his shoulders ,then left him in dispair.
